『自立』この作品は、自分が精神的にも経済的にも自立した人間になりたい。と思いを込め、芯の通った美しい貴婦人たちを作りました。 　 また、切り絵全体への想いは、 『自分の手から美しいものを作りたい。自分の魂が震えるような作品を作りたい。』 　また、私の作品を見た方が、「ああ、よい作品を見たわ。癒されたわ。明日からまた仕事を頑張れるわ。」と言ってみてくださればうれしいなあと想い、切り絵を作っています。 　 Independence": I created these images of poised, beautiful noblewomen, pouring into them my own desire to become a person who is independent—both emotionally and financially. As for my paper-cutting art in general, my driving sentiment is this: "I want to create beautiful things with my own hands; I want to create works that stir the soul." I craft these pieces hoping that those who view them might say, "What a wonderful work of art. It was so soothing. Now I feel ready to give my best at work again tomorrow."
